About

I'm an independent writer, marketer and illustrator, with lots of experience in the food industry. I’m inspired by the big city of London, and the small island of Anglesey, and you’ll usually find me in one or the other.

Working for forward-thinking, conscious brands and people who want to make a positive difference is what I love to do. I write and edit engaging editorial, and work on books, brand identities and newsletters. Words and images have always interested me equally, and my favourite projects are the ones that combine the two.

Regular clients include  Anna Jones, the celebrated chef who has changed the face of modern vegetarian cooking and Halen Môn sea salt, my family’s amazing seasoning business, complete with brand new Wild Seaweed Baths. I have written and designed for everyone from tiny honey producers to international food brands, and many businesses in between.

I have co-authored two books - a recipe book, Sea Salt, which celebrates this misunderstood ingredient and the island of Anglesey, and Do Sea Salt, part of the inspirational Do Book series. I have also worked as an editorial researcher on numerous other publications.

My most wonderfully accidental project so far has been to co-found and produce a comedy night at The Covid Arms. The Guardian said ‘Covid Arms gigs look like a real bright spot in lockdown comedy’, and we raised more than £150,000 for food banks.

I’m currently writing a book called Bodies of Water, with the brilliant photographer Jim Marsden, and am proud to be a trustee for the amazing charity TastEd, which exists to change food education for good.

Variety is the spice of life, so whatever your project is, I'd love to hear from you.
